PELUM inspired young minds on November 25th, 2023 by hosting a children’s volunteer day at the Ezulwini Urban Garden. The event, held in honor of World Children’s Day, was themed “For Every Child Every Right,” and aimed to educate children about agroecology, food security, and sustainable living.
Through the various activities, including tree planting and mini-presentations on food security and nutrition, the children were empowered to make a difference in their communities and the world at large. With four students from Enhlanhleni Primary School and one from Mbabane Central Primary School, together with their Agriculture teacher and PELUM staff, the initiative was a resounding success, inspiring the children to take the first steps towards a sustainable future.
